Help Stop Stalking with the Self Evident App

Report Crime with Self Evident

The Home Office estimates that 1 in 5 women and 1 in 10 men will be stalked during their lifetime.  But so far very few of these cases are reported to the police and even fewer result in conviction because the ability of the police and the courts to take action depends on the quality and reliability of the evidence.

If you experience or witness stalking, the Self Evident App gives you the tools and confidence to regain your life and end the criminality.

Self Evident is a convenient and effective way for people across England & Wales to engage with the police for free and help stop stalking and other crime. With over 27,000 registered users already, in successful use every day and repeatedly rated a top app, Self Evident empowers victims and witnesses alike.

Self Evident is a convenient and effective way for people to engage with the police and help reduce crime. With over 24,000 registered users already and in successful use every day, it is what you have been waiting for.  Get yours now.

The app gives you confidence and makes it easy for you to
  • collect legally sound evidence of the stalking,
  • prove a breach of an injunction or legal order,
  • record a reliable statement,
  • build a dossier of secure evidence while you seek advice and decide what to do, and
  • file a stalking or crime report with the police from your smartphone.

The app particularly helps the police identify and support repeat and vulnerable victims. A new hate crime feature requested by The Mayor's Office for Policing and Crime in London and the Sussex Police and Crime Commissioner includes third party reporting. When welcoming this feature as mayor, Boris Johnson said the app "will help increase reporting even further, boosting confidence, reducing repeat offences and helping victims get the support they need".
